The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held a meeting Today, Thursday, presided over by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, with the presence of its members Aidarous al-Zubaidi, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Mujalli and via video conference Tariq Saleh and Abdul Rahman al-Mahrami, while Council members Sultan al-Aradah and Faraj al-Bahsani were absent with excuse.

Chief of Staff discusses ways to enhance support, cooperation with Commander of Joint Forces

Chief of General Staff and Commander of the Joint Operations Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz discussed with the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Coalition Supporting Legitimacy Lieutenant General Fahd Al-Salami aspects of military cooperation and integration.

The commanders discussed coordination to enhance national and maritime security and combat terrorism.

During the meeting, which was attended by commanders of the Yemeni five military regions and Saudi officers, the two parties reviewed the latest developments on the national scene and the military situation across the operational theater of the Republic of Yemen amid the escalating hostile actions of the Houthi terrorist organization and its supporter, Iran.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance the ongoing support and assistance provided by the Joint Forces Command to the Yemeni Armed Forces in operational, logistical, technical, training, and rehabilitation aspects, contributing to the readiness of the forces to perform their constitutional and national duties efficiently and effectively.

This includes strengthening their capabilities in the joint Arab defense effort, restoring stability and security in Yemen, and actively participating in counter-terrorism and smuggling efforts, as well as enhancing maritime and global security.

The Chief of Staff congratulated Lieutenant General Al-Salami on the issuance of the royal order appointing him as Commander of the Joint Forces, wishing him success and good fortune in this mission.

General Bin Aziz highlighted the supportive positions of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for Yemen and its legitimate leadership, and their sincere brotherly stance alongside the Yemeni people at various stages and levels.

He expressed his aspiration to enhance cooperation and bilateral coordination in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their peoples, achieving their security and stability.
