PETRICH-SABA
Archaeologists discovered the head of a statue on Sunday during excavations in the Cloaca Maxima (the Roman sewage system) of the ancient city of Heraclea Sintica near Petrich, the Bulgarian news agency reported learning from the Archaelogia Bulgarica Facebook page.

If that turns out to be the case, it remains to be seen why and it ended up at the other end of the canal, instead of next to the torso of the sculpture, Archaelogia Bulgarica explained.
