Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation for the Irrigation Sector, Engineer Ahmed al-Zameki, discussed Wednesday with the Regional Director of ADRA International in Yemen Emmanuel Ofot and the Executive Director of Nahda Makers Mohamed al-Sayed to discuss cooperation and joint coordination mechanisms in implementing agricultural and fishery projects.

The meeting addressed several key topics, including the importance of implementing the plans and strategies prepared by the ministry, which are to be executed in partnership with the ministry's partners from international, regional, and local organizations.

It emphasized the necessity for organizations to align their interventions within the framework of these strategic plans, which outline the main priorities for the agricultural and fishery sectors in Yemen.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of unifying efforts in agricultural and fishery surveys and statistics between the ministry and organizations to ensure the availability of accurate and comprehensive data that aids in making appropriate strategic decisions.

Al-Zameki underscored the significance of strengthening the partnership between the ministry and international and local organizations, especially given the significant challenges facing the agricultural and fishery sectors in the country due to the current economic and political conditions.

He clarified that the meeting is part of the ministry's efforts to unify efforts among various technical and specialized entities within the ministry and organizations working in the agricultural and fishery fields to ensure the implementation of effective and sustainable projects that serve farmers and fishermen and improve their living conditions.
