Governor of Lahij Major General Ahmed Turki met with Emmanuel Ofuot, the regional director of ADRA International in Yemen, discussing with him ways to expand humanitarian assistance and the organization’s developmental projects in the sectors of health, water, environmental sanitation, and food security.
Governor Turki praised relief efforts of ADRA organization in supporting local communities in the governorate's districts and the displaced people residing there. He expressed hope for the intensification of the organization's developmental programs in the governorate to reach the highest levels during the current year 2024 and in their future plans for 2025.
For his part, the regional director of the organization noted that ADRA has new developmental projects for infrastructure in its four specialties that will be implemented in the governorate, particularly in the districts of Tuban, al-Madaribah and Ras al-Arah, with plans to expand their programs in the future to include other sectors.
