Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Shaya al-Zindani met today, Thursday, with the Chairman of the International Relations Committee of the Russian Parliament (Duma) Leonid Slutsky.
Yemeni-Russian bilateral relations and cooperation were key focus of the talks.
Dr. al-Zindani hailed the Yemeni-Russian relations as historic and robust, highly appreciating the supportive stances of the Russian Federation in support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the internationally recognized Yemeni government and Yemeni people.
The Foreign Minister reiterated the government's commitment to support the ongoing efforts to the war and make peace in Yemen in accordance with the nationally, regionally and internationally agreed on peace references.
The Chair of International Relations Committee of the Russian Parliament praised the deeply-rooted Russian-Yemeni relationships, demonstrating the Russian Parliament's willingness to further develop parliamentary relations with the Yemeni Parliament including visits-exchange and joint coordination at regional and international forums.
