MARIB-SABA
The Yemeni Red Crescent launched Thursday the first phase of distributing emergency humanitarian assistances of food and shelter to displaced families in Jaw Al-Naseem here.

The assistances have been provided by the International Committee for the Red Cross to these families, who were impacted by floods, heavy rain and thunderstorms hit the governorate last Sunday.

The Director of the Yemeni Red Crescent in the governorate Fares al-Uqaili made it clear that the first phase targets providing help to 300 displaced families in the camp by providing a food parcel and a shelter to every case with a total number of 600 parcels.

He pointed out that this intervention comes in response to the humanitarian call directed by local authority and the executive unit in Marib to alleviate suffering of the displaced people impacted by the floods.
The second phase will start during the forthcoming days and include food and shelter assistances to the displaced families, he said.
