ADEN - SABA
The Republic of Yemen Yemen welcomes the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice, regarding the ongoing illegality of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, considered this opinion as an important legal reference that requires serious and practical steps from the international community to implement it.
It affirmed that there is no way to achieve peace, security and stability in the region, except by realizing the aspirations of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The International Court of Justice, which is the highest judicial body of the United Nations, said yesterday, Friday, in an advisory opinion that the ongoing Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories for decades is "illegal" and must end "as soon as possible".
