KSrelief announces extension of Masam's mission to clear mines in Yemen for one year

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center announced today the extension of the contract of “Masam” project to clear Yemeni lands of landmines for one year, at an amount of $35,998,500.

The general supervisor of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah said in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency that the renewal of the contract with the implementing partner comes in view of the vital importance this specific project represents in completing the decontamination of Yemeni lands from mines planted ubiquitously, indiscriminately and in various forms and camouflage, in places and ways meant to claim lives of defenseless civilians, causing them permanent injuries and disabilities.
