The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh called on international and regional organizations to provide emergency and sustainable support to the health sector in Yemen, to ensure the sector can sustain the provision of basic primary health care.

In the press conference he held in Aden today, Buhaybeh said funding for the health sector has declined by more than 70 percent, calling on international and regional health sector partners to renew their vital and continuous support for health services and overcome challenges in these difficult times.
