ADEN - SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi discussed in a phone call with the British Ambassador to Yemen today the latest developments in Yemen in light of the efforts led by the UN envoy to end the conflict and bring peace.
Al-Zubaidi reiterated that the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia persist with their intransigence and rejection of all
invitations to dialogue. He pointed out that their escalation in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and on the confrontation fronts in a number of governorates proves they are not genuine about serious handling of the calls to come to peace table.
Al-Zubaidi said the Presidential Leadership Council is ready for any upcoming negotiations to end the conflict in Yemen, noting that a negotiating team has been formed by the Council, as it represents all parties which comprise the Council.
He went over the latest developments related to the economic situation in Yemen and its repercussions on the humanitarian situation, and the regional and international efforts to alleviate the repercussions on the living conditions of the people across the country.
