The Portuguese national team defeated its Czech counterpart by two goals to one in the match that brought them together at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany, in the first round of the Group Six competitions of the European Cup (Euro 2024).

The first half of the match ended in a scoreless draw for both teams, and in the 26th minute of the second half of the match, the Czech team scored the first goal through Lukas Provod, and Portugal was able to equalize the score after Czech player Ruben Harnasch scored an own goal in the 69th minute.
