His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, departed today, Friday, from the interim capital, Aden, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold consultations with regional and international actors regarding the latest developments in the local situation, particularly the recent events in the eastern governorates.

Water Ministry's role need to be reinvigorated—Tariq Saleh stressed

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Brigadier Tariq Saleh urged Ministry of Water and Environment to revitalize the role of its institutions in the government-held regions in Hodeida governorate.

His remark came during his meeting today, Thursday, with Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi and senior officials of the Ministry and the General Authority for Marine Affairs, Hodeida governor and deputy governor and commander of Coast Guard in the Red Sea.

The discussions focused on the topics relating to water services, environment protection and the plans of the Ministry of Water and Environment to activate the actions of its authorities in the government-held regions in Hodeida and Taiz governorates.

The member of the PLC stressed that it is very important to join efforts of all authorities in charge of environment and marine transport to develop their capacities in order to deal with any potential challenges in the upcoming stage.
