Health meeting to reduce the spread of acute watery diarrhea held in Aden

An expanded health meeting was held Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Health for Primary Healthcare Dr. Ali al-Walidi.

The meeting included several stakeholders and representatives of international organizations working in the health sector.

They discussed various issues related to the spread of acute watery diarrhea, how to deal with it, and measures to contribute to its containment.

Dr. al-Walidi called on international organizations working in the health field to uphold their commitments to support the Ministry of Health in combating the outbreak of acute watery diarrhea.

He emphasized the need for relevant departments to prepare and send daily statistics and reports in order to identify the most affected areas.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of developing educational and guidance messages directed at the community, focusing on preventive measures against diarrhea, promoting the concept of personal hygiene, and encouraging its practice to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
