His Excellency (HE) President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) delivered a speech this evening to the Yemeni people on the occasion of Eid al-Fiter, which coincides with the 2nd anniversary of the creation of the PLC and the 9th anniversary of driving the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militiamen out of the city of Aden, to be the temporary capital.

The President devoted his address to underline the overall developments Yemen has seen since the creation of the PLC as a promising fruit and instrument of the comprehensive national consensus that produced by Riyadh Consultations sponsored by the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council.

HE confirmed the PLC confirmed that the PLC has been fully committed over the past couple of years to the stated principles in the declaration of the power transfer and it also has been committed to its pledges listed in the speech of the oath about the peace option as a national interest for the Yemeni people" that never chose this devastating war, but rather it was an imperative war to defend the republican regime, Yemen's identity, sovereignty and its territorial integrity".

HE pointed out to the significant concessions offered by the PLC and the government in order to establish peace and alleviate the humanitarian suffering, citing the road map that produced by the mediation of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, but the terrorist Houthi militias responded to it by escaping to reckless escalation in the Red Sea under the pretext to support Gaza.

The Chairman of the PLC highlighted the necessary measures and changes have been made within the state's institutions since the first moment of the creation of the PLC, most notable of all operate from inside the country and improve the efficacy of the transitional capital Aden given that it is the legal, political and economic center of the Republic of Yemen.

The President touched upon the economic and financial reforms, diplomatic efforts to mobilize the international support for the Yemeni people and to correct the misleading narratives about the fair Yemeni cause.

In a gesture of honoring thousands of the detainees and forcefully disappeared fellow citizen in the Terrorist Houthi militias' jails, the President granted the veteran politician Mohamed Qahtan, who has been enforced disappeared in the prisons of the terrorist militias since nine years, the 26 September Medal of First Grade, HE also granted the same Medals for the veterans Maj. General Mahmood al-Subaihi, Maj. General Nasser Mansour Hadi and Maj. General Faisal Rajab, with promoting them to the rank of (Lt Gen).

The Chairman of the PLC expressed deep thanks and gratitude to the brothers in the Arab Coalition for supporting the internationally recognized Yemeni government led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for the great sacrifices they extended in blood and treasures to support the Yemeni people.
