The Republic of Yemen participated in the meeting of the Governing Council and the 148th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad al-Shaddadi headed the Yemeni parliamentary delegation included the MPs Hamid al-Ahmer, Nasser Bajil and Mohammed al-Shameri.

The Yemeni delegation walked out during the opening activities in protest against the Israeli delegation’s speech to demonstrate opposition to their participation in view of the Israeli heinous crimes and atrocities against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, including slaughtering children, women and the elderly, committing the most atrocious crimes against humanity.
