Basuhayb discusses with UN official transferring into development projects

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nizar Basuhayb discussed Wednesday with Director of the Office of the Resident Coordinator of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen Pier Flavier means of unifying efforts for transferring into development projects implemented by UN and international organizations.
The two parties discussed coordination mechanisms between the government and the United Nations for making long-term and mid-term plans and strategies regarding projects of developmental interventions on the bases of the general framework for development and its requirements made by the government.
Basuhayb confirmed significance of strategic partnership and interventions implemented by UN organizations in different domains and proceeding with helping the government's efforts in making plans to meet development needs of imminent priorities.
For his part, the UN official uttered readiness of the UN to provide technical support to the government of Yemen for making plans of transferring from relief support to development one and contribution in addressing needed support to the development plan within available capabilities.
