Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed Ghaleb has said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) statement on the conclusion of Article IV consultations with the Republic of Yemen reflects an important return to institutional engagement with the international community after a long period of interruption, welcoming the content of the statement.

Jawf governor discusses situations of the province with US ambassador

RIYADH-SABA
Governor of Jawf General Hussein al-Awadhi received Friday US Ambassador for Yemen Steven Fagen.

He discussed with him situations of Jawf Province and supporting capabilities of the local authority to face different challenges and means of facing Houthi militia's threat of harming security and stability of Yemen and its threat to regional and international security and peace.

General al-Awadhi commended the US role supporting Yemen and its constitutional legality, expressing aspirations for US support to Jawf Province in different domains and providing direct support to displaced persons who suffer tragic conditions over Houthi terrorist militia's triggered war.

For his part, the US diplomat confirmed importance of realizing peace in Yemen and activating state institutions.

He pointed out that the Unites States has made direct remarkable contribution and through international organization in humanitarian support to alleviate suffering of Yemeni people, led by displaced persons.
