Head of fishing authority in Gulf of Aden discusses projects with UNDP's team

Chairman of Fishing Authority in the Gulf of Aden Dr. Abdulsalam Ahmad discussed Tuesday with the UNDP's team the program's projects in the fishery sector.

The meeting touched upon rehabilitating Fishing Port in Aden with the cost of USD 35 million financed by German Bank and the technical studies to be carried out by the Engineering Company and the period of implementation.

Arrangements related to qualifying fishery unload center in Faqm Area with financing from the World Bank were also discussed.

The meeting confirmed necessity of joint coordination between the specialist in the fishing authority and the UNDP while implementing interventions and projects in fishery sector and including fishery cooperative societies to ensure realizing best benefit from these projects and enhancing concerned bodies in working environment.
