The Executive Director of the Social Care Fund, Najla al-Sayyad, participated in a meeting of the expert team responsible for reforming social protection systems in the Arab region, under the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) of the United Nations.
The meeting concluded its activities in the Sultanate of Oman.
The meeting discussed various issues and topics related to social care, including presenting working papers focused on child protection services, key services for the elderly, and the social protection system.
The meeting discussed exchange of expertise and the utilization of regional experts in the training and qualification of specialists in preparing specialized international reports, monitoring and analyzing data, developing strategic plans and legislation, and familiarizing participants with important legislation, services, and social protection and care programs.
