The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nizar Basuhayb met with the director of the UNFPA office in Aden John Paul here today over the Fund’s intervention for this year especially on neonatal incubator grants and the plans to offer more incubators to healthcare centers in the government-controlled areas.
Basuhayb renewed the government's urge to international organizations to move to Yemen's temporary capital Aden and have an account with the Central Bank in Aden to channel their financial support in line the Presidential Leadership Council's directives at facilitating international organizations' operation.
He also met the manager of the Qatar Red Crescent office in Yemen Ahmed Al-Sharaji and discussed with him the progress in equipping and furnishing a $700,000 dialysis center project now underway in Lahj Governorate, to the north of Aden.
