Member the Presidential Leadership Council General Tariq Saleh emphasized the importance of continuing to improve the performance of the Customs Authority, enhancing its efficiency, updating its electronic systems and mechanisms, and strengthening cooperation with relevant entities.
He also confirmed importance of realizing partnership with the private sector and enhancing confidence between the authority, importers and the society.
In his meeting with Chairman of Customs Authority Abdulhakeem al-Qubati, Tareq Saleh emphasized the need to double efforts in combating smuggling and customs evasion, and implementing customs laws and regulations to serve the public interest and contribute to the state's general treasury.
Tariq Saleh discussed al-Qubati the challenges facing the authority and possible solutions to overcome them, commending the performance of the authority.
For his part, the Chairman of the Customs Authority expressed his gratitude for the support and attention given by Tariq Saleh to the authority, affirming the authority's commitment to fulfilling its duties and realizing its vision in rehabilitating its offices at various land, sea, and air ports in line with global developments.
