BEIRUT - SABA
The Yemeni Ambassador to Lebanon Abdullah Al-Duays met with the Secretary-General of Lebanon's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hani Chmaitli here today.
Al-Duays raised Yemen's firm position rejecting acts of terrorism and maritime piracy carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia with the support of the Iranian regime, and Yemen's appeal for the international community to work closely and effectively with it to end this threat and danger that the militia poses to the security of Yemen and international navigation.
He said, "The Yemeni government is sovereign over the entire Yemeni territory and its territorial waters, and therefore it is the party that the international community must support politically, economically, and militarily to eliminate the Houthis' military capabilities by entering into a partnership with the Yemeni government to control the areas from which the aggression against international shipping emanates, and to restore state institutions as the only guarantor of security and stability, not only for Yemen but for the region.
