The National Museum of Asian Arts in Washington, DC, will organize an event via Zoom technology on the issues of smuggling and looting Yemeni antiquities and the importance of protecting the country’s cultural heritage from extinction, with the participation of experts in the field of antiquities and government officials from Yemen and the United States.
The event, which is organized with the support of the Carnegie Foundation in New York, will discuss the reality of Yemeni antiquities and the acts of looting, smuggling and illegal sale they were subjected to during the years of war, and the efforts made to recover them and protect the country’s cultural heritage from extinction and loss.
