Minister of Transport Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid and Minister of State, Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, laid the foundation stone today for a project to establish and build a central station for passenger transport, the first phase, in Al-Arish area in Khor Maksar district of Aden.
The project is being built on an area of 33 thousand square meters and its components include 40 buildings for international transport companies and a group of service annexes such as a rest area, a hotel, a gas station, warehouses and central workshops.
Lamlas stressed that the project will contribute to organizing the internal and external transportation process, by arranging transport and communication mechanisms and addressing congestion in traffic lines.
