Governor of Taiz governorate Nabil Shamsan met today, Sunday, in Cairo with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Katherine Corm Kammoun.
They conferred over the humanitarian situations and the suffering of the populations in the governorate, which has been chafed under the yoke of the terrorist Houthi militias' stifling besiege for 9 years.
Shamsan briefed Cammoun on the Houthi militiamen's violations and attacks on residential areas and civilians on daily basis, citing local authority's efforts to re-build the state's institutions and improve basic services in the government-held regions in the governorate.
The French Ambassador reiterated France's supportive stance in support of the Yemeni people and the internationally recognized government.
She also demonstrated willingness to coordinate with local authority and to communicate with the concerned French organizations that can offer help and collaborate with Taiz's local authority.
