Deputy Minister of Public Works and Roads Dr. Muhammad Thabet discussed with the Regional Coordinator of the United Nations Environment Program Office in West Asia Sabine Sakr and the Director of the Environment Program in Yemen Hassan Berto a number of relevant issues in the field of environmental conservation and projects. accompanying the environment.

Dr. Thabet touched on the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works in implementing a number of projects, including disaster damage repair projects, as well as our country’s experiences in the field of environmental conservation projects, pointing to the Khor Al-Mukalla project in contributing to diverting the flood outfalls in Hadhramaut to the sea.

The Deputy Minister called on the UN program to support Yemen’s proposal to establish a disaster management fund to support Arab countries affected by natural disasters, as well as to support the ministry in the fields of reconstruction, technical support, and staff training.
