His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) along with the PLC's Member Othman Mujalli received today, Tuesday, the United States' envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking and American Ambassador Steven Fagin.
The meeting aimed to discuss Yemeni-American bilateral relations, developments in Yemen and UN's endeavors to launch an inclusive political process that ensures to eliminate the coup, restore the state's institutions based on the good offices of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman.
The discussions also touched upon the developments in the region the brutal Israeli war against the Palestinian people and its disastrous repercussions upon the international peace security .
President al-Alimi reiterated the commitment of the PLC and the government to the fair and comprehensive peace approach and support for the efforts of the UN's Special Envoy to end the humanitarian suffering caused by the Iranian regime-allied Houthi militias.
The Chairman of the PLC recalled the PLC's and the government's open attitude to all proposals aimed to stop and revive peace course that is based on the terms of the peace references agreed upon nationally, regionally and internationally.
His Excellency also highlighted the constant intransigence by Houthi militias toward the peace efforts, including their rejection of all proposals to pay salaries of the public sector employees, the continuing grave violations of human rights, military escalations in different flashpoints, moreover, the terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international maritime shipping lines.
