The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Al-Bahssani urges joining efforts to control drugs

RIYADH-SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Faraj al-Bahssani underscored the important role of the General Administration for Drug Control (GADC) in dealing with users and promoters of prohibited drugs to control this alien scourge on society.

His remark came during his meeting today, Saturday, with the General Director of the GADC Brigadier General Abdullah Lahamdi.

Brig. Lahmadi reported to General al-Bahssani about the measures taken by the GADC and the progress realized in this regard in 2023.

The PLC's Member stressed that efforts need to be joined and intensified to control this dangerous scourge.

" The GADC must be provided with every necessary support to be capable of doing its job effectively to achieve the desired objectives in controlling this scourge", he said.
