'MASAM' removes 719 Houthis-laid landmines in a week

KSrelief Center's Demining Project in Yemen " MASAM" managed to pull out 719 of landmines and unexploded ordnances (UXO) in the 4th week of December 2023, planted by Iran-allied Houthi militiamen in different Yemeni regions.

The Center reported the two anti-personnel and 102 anti-tanks landmines and 615 UXO were removed recently to brings the number of the removed landmines and UXO in December up to 3015.

It is important to note that MASAM has removed 426 thousand and 809 of landmines and UXO since it has started its demining mission in Yemen in 2018.
