The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Taiz governor inspects maintenance work in Usaifirah Power Plant

Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan inspected Thursday the ongoing maintenance work in Usaifirah Power Plant here.
Governor Shamsan confirmed that the local authority gives electricity file great concern and works hard to re-operate the power plant. He pointed out that the authority is paying costs of the maintenance work.
He praised efforts of the engineers and workers in the plant.
The Saudi Program for Developments and Reconstruction in Yemen gives power issues great concern Yemen and there is continuous communication with the program on making studies and plans for constructing new power plant, said Governor Shamsan.
He listened from Director of Usaifirah Plant Rani al-Aghbari and Head of Maintenance Section Ahmad al-Baidhani on the accomplishment level of the maintenance work, checking up generators and size of damages hit the plant.
