Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Brigadier General Tariq Saleh stressed that students who proved gifted and accomplished must be encouraged, sponsored and given priority in the government's scholarships program abroad.
He said " Transparent programs and equal opportunity should be the norm when it comes to distribute the scholarships".
He made his comments during his meeting today, Sunday, with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Khalid al-Wosabi.
Brig. Tariq's conversations with Dr. al-Wosabi covered topics relating to the Ministry's plans in the coming period and the situations of the academics in the government-held governorates, mainly in the west coast.
