His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) stated that any approach to put an end of the war in Yemen will never be successful, unless it deals with the Houthi militias as part of an Iranian cross-border scheme, and not as a local political party, warning that reducing any crisis of this kind to truces and arrangements for a ceasefire will lead to temporary risk management rather than building sustainable peace.

Ambassador al-Yazidi discusses with Algerian official latest developments in Yemen

Yemen's Ambassador to Algeria Ali al-Yazidi discussed Monday with Director of Arab East in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Algeria Abdulkareem Rakai means of improving and enhancing mutual relations between the two friendly countries.

Ambassador al-Yazidi made the Algerian official in the picture of situations in Yemen and suffering of Yemeni people over Houthi militia's triggered war and the militia's coup against the legitimacy in Yemen, as well as its rejection to initiatives and proposals aiming at realizing peace.

He pointed out to concessions made by the government for the sake of solving the crisis in Yemen and alleviating suffering of Yemeni people.

For his part, the Algerian official confirmed his country's firm position supporting Yemen's legitimacy and Algeria's rejection to the coup against the constitutional legitimacy.

He reiterated his country's keenness on Yemen's unity and its territorial safety.
