Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)Othman Mujalli held talks today, Sunday, with the Norwegian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Republic of Yemen Thomas Paul over Yemeni-Norwegian bilateral relations, developments in the Yemeni national scene and the efforts have been exerted by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to end the war, achieve peace, establish security, stability and development in Yemen.
Mr. Paul briefed Sheikh Mujalli on the Norwegian the good offices to contribute to regional and international efforts to make peace, remove landmines and relieve the Yemenis' humanitarian suffering.
Sheikh Mujalli has confirmed the PLC's support for the ongoing efforts by the brothers in the KSA in collaboration with the two envoys of the US and UN to reach a comprehensive and fair peace that all Yemeni peoples are desperately looking for that based on the agreed on terms of the peace reference including the UNSC 2016.
He said " Even though we don't view the Houthis an honest party to achieve peace as they continue to mobilize militants, weapons, carry out military attacks in different flashpoints,… we do support the efforts of the Saudi brothers and the two envoys of the UN and US to make peace", Said
Mujalli overtly blamed the Iranian regime interventions in the Yemeni national affairs for fueling the Yemeni conflict and prolonging it through sponsoring the Houthi militias, supplying them with funds, experts and weapons.
The member of the PLC touched upon the Israeli occupiers' genocides and atrocities against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, denouncing the Israeli occupation forces' grave violations and crimes against the civilians and civil facilities, reiterating Yemen's support for the Palestinian people's legitimate struggle to defend its self and establish its independent state.
The Norwegian diplomat confirmed his government's support for the PLC and the Yemeni government to end the war, make peace and restore the state's institutions.
