Masam Project to Clean Yemeni Territories from Landmines or (Masam) has destroyed 1582 landmines, explosive devices and unexploded ordnances planted by Houthi terrorist militia in Bab al-Mandab, Taiz province.
The project made it clear in a press release that it destroyed 120 anti-tank landmines, 110 unexploded ordnances and 10 explosive devices, as well as 1335 fuse and different shells, 3 anti-persons landmines and four rockets.
The Assistant of the Masam Project Qasem al-Dosari confirmed that the destruction process has been implemented in accordance with the applied international standards in destroying landmines in coordination with concerned bodies.
He pointed out that the landmines and the explosive devices were planted in vital areas; villages, plants, roads, schools and others and were posing direct threat to lives of the inhabitants.
