Ministry of Social Affairs Issues Urgent Humanitarian Appeal over Deteriorating Conditions in Taiz

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor issued Tuesday an urgent humanitarian appeal to international and regional organizations and agencies, associations, institutions, unions, local and foreign civil society organizations and its private-sector partners, calling for an immediate action and intensified efforts to alleviate the suffering of citizens and respond to the growing humanitarian needs in Taiz Governorate.

Members of the National Committee to Investigate Alleged Violations to Human Rights (NCTIAVHR) in Aden met Monday the Joint Incidents Assessment Team on Yemen.

The Chairman of the Committee Hussein al-Mashdali made a review on the nature of new incidents investigated by the team in cooperation and coordination between the committee and the team.

The team touched upon program of their current visit to Yemen and incidents it investigates, locations of field visits of targeted areas and results of investigations in a number of alleged violations in different Yemeni areas.

The team expressed appreciations to the committee for the facilitations it provides and coordination ensures access to all targeted victims.

The team inspected a number of field locations the team investigates in air-shelling during the past time and met with a number of victims and eyewitnesses.
