The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

The Republic of Yemen participated in the high-level roundtable meeting on agricultural transformation paths in East Asian countries, which was organized by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, with a delegation headed by the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, Major General Salem Al-Socotri.
In his speech at the meeting, Minister Al-Socotra praised the efforts made by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and its support provided to Yemen by investing in many agricultural projects and supporting the development of investment opportunities for the agricultural and fisheries sector.
He stressed that Yemen has made great efforts in developing this vital and important sector, and seeks to take optimal advantage of the support provided by regional and international organizations and donors, most notably the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
