President al-Alimi, member of PLC participate in UN opening session

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Member of the Council Aidrus al-Zubaidi have participated in the opening discussion session of the 78th Round of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The session, which commenced its work on Tuesday here, was attended by countries' leaders, prime ministers and representatives of the regional and international organizations.

The delegation of Yemen in the current round includes Director of the Republican Presidency Office Yahya al-Shuaibi, Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad BinMubarak and Permanent Representative of Yemen to the United Nations Abdullah al-Sa'adi.

President al-Alimi will deliver Yemen's speech on Thursday in which he will talk about latest developments in the country and the council and the government's vision regarding chances of achieving inclusive and permanent peace on the bases of the nationally, regionally and internationally agreed upon references.

The session was opened by speeches of the UN Secretary General Antinio Guterres and the president of the current round.
