Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Beijing Dr. Mohammed al-Maitami held discussions today, Thursday, with the Chinese Special Envoy to the Middle East Zhai Jun over the latest developments in Yemen and the ongoing efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council and Yemeni government to reach an inclusive political settlement to establish security, stability and put an end of the Yemeni peoples' humanitarian suffering.
Al-Maitami highly praised the supportive stances of the Peoples' Republic of China in support of the Yemeni people, its legitimate leadership and the efforts to establish peace, reach political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
For his part Mr. Jun reiterated China's support for Yemen, its unity, sovereignty and its territorial integrity.
He also confirmed Beijing's support for the Presidential Leadership Council, internationally recognized government and the ongoing international and regional efforts achieve the urgently needed comprehensive and fair peace in Yemen.
