Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badhib, discussed today, in the temporary capital, Aden, with the Head of the European Union Mission to Yemen, Gabriel Viñales, and the ambassadors of France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Finland, ways to enhance joint cooperation between Yemen and the European Union countries, and efforts to find urgent solutions to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
During the meeting, efforts and ways to find the necessary solutions to the challenges facing international organizations working in the humanitarian, relief and development fields in Yemen, as well as creating a better work environment and ensuring protection and security for workers in international organizations and crews, were also discussed.
The Minister of Planning reviewed the latest developments in the general situation and regional, and international efforts to achieve comprehensive and lasting peace in Yemen... reiterating the government’s keenness on peace, ending the war and achieving development.
Minister Badhib also reiterated the government’s keenness to ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid to all governorates of the Republic, despite the obstacles imposed by the Houthi militias on the movement of trade and goods to the port of Aden. He called on the European Union to put more pressure on the Houthi militias to lift the restrictions imposed on the movement of goods and trade to the port of Aden and the country's other ports.
