London - Saba
The Yemeni Embassy in Britain and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London signed an agreement to deposit four Yemeni artifacts and preserve them temporarily until the situation in Yemen stabilizes and they are restored.

The London Metropolitan Police discovered four ancient carved stone funerary pieces that likely date back to the second half of the first millennium BC.

The four pieces are among the oldest and most important Yemeni antiquities, as a number of British archaeologists examined them using recognized scientific methods, after which the British Foreign Office informed the Yemeni Foreign Ministry with a letter regarding the matter.

During the signing, Ambassador Yassin Saeed Noman thanked the British government, and the management of the Victoria and Albert Museum for their efforts in restoring these important antiquities.
