A meeting held Monday chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Yemen’s Governor to the World Bank Dr. Afrah al-Zouba and attended by a high-level World Bank delegation led by the Bank’s Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Ousmane Dione discussed ways to enhance partnership and expand support across development, humanitarian, service, and economic sectors in the country.

President al-Alimi receives Shabwah Governor

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi met Sunday with Shabwah Governor Awadh al-Wazeer discussing with him conditions in the province and level of services provided to citizens and implemented developmental projects.

President al-Alimi listened to a report on level of achieving projects financed by local authority, government and brothers of Arab Coalition, especially in fields of electricity, public works and roads and health.

He praised the role of the local authority in Shabwah and the people integration in supporting developmental programs and in facing the agenda of Iran-backed Houthi militia and terrorist organizations coordinating with the militia.

President al-Alimi directed the government and local authority to double efforts to enhance the rule of law and improving services to limit humanitarian repercussions over Houthi militia's terrorist attacks.
