A memorandum of understanding was signed at the Marib Governorate Office to construct and equip a specialized ophthalmology hospital within the campus of the Marib General Hospital Authority, with Kuwaiti funding.

The memorandum of understanding was stamped by the Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah,
The memorandum stipulates that the Istijaba Foundation will undertake the construction, equipment and furnishing of the Ophthalmology Specialized Hospital building, consisting of three floors and on an area of 3,600 square meters, according to the plans and designs prepared for that.
