Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdulsalam Hamid, discussed today in the interim capital, Aden, with the Director General of Projects and Programs in the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Engineer Hassan Al-Attas, an assessment of the airport's conditions and the stages of rehabilitation and modernization of the airport through the program.
The meeting discussed a report on the repercussions of the recent storm and thunderstorms at the airport and the resulting damage to the glass facades and roofs of the airport.
The Minister of Transport expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and those in charge of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen SPDRY for their efforts in order to complete the remaining stages of the Aden International Airport rehabilitation project, stressing the importance of the Aden International Airport rehabilitation project.
