Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh has raised the issue of Houthi violations and undermining of peace efforts during a meeting with the US ambassador to Yemen Matthew H. Tueller in Riyadh on Tuesday.
The vice president highlighted the rebel militias' indifference to Yemeni blood and highlighted how the political, military and humanitarian scene is complicated.
The vice president, however, reinforced to Tueller that the resumption of the political process is a constant state commitment saying that, in quest of peace, the state entered into a number of consultation rounds.
The two officials discussed issues related to the re-normalization of life in government-held areas, fighting terrorism, improving the people's quality of life, combating cholera and other diseases and delivering humanitarian relief aid.
On his part, the US diplomat emphasized his country's support to the Yemeni state, rejection to any militia entity outside the state, return to consultations table and commitment to a just solution that stops the bloodshed in Yemen.
