The premier commended the distinguished relations between Yemen and Germany, emphasizing that the legitimate government does best to realize peace through responding to all the UN calls for involving in negotiations.
He further recited that the Houthi-Saleh militias carried out a coup against the legitimate government, put the elected president under a house arrest, killed innocent people and took over Yemeni governorates by force.
"If the causes of the war in Yemen are not tackled, the situation will continue to worsen," he asserted.
He reaffirmed that the peace road lies in respecting the Arab and international conventions which were approved by all Yemeni parties and factions, signaling out that peace must be based on the GCC-brokered Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council Resolution 2211.
For his part, Rottgen welcomed the prime minster, hoping to reach peace in Yemen and resume reconstruction and development, indicating that Germany will provide all support to Yemenis to alleviate their suffering.
